An east London man has been charged with religiously aggravated intentional harassment in connection with a probe into the alleged racist abuse of a group of women in Romford.
Terry Eury, 55, of Wapping, was due to appear in custody this afternoon (April 22) at Thames Magistrates' Court.
Police launched an "urgent investigation" after video emerged appearing to show a man racially abusing a group of women in South Street, Romford on Saturday (April 20).

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "The Met has been clear that there is no place for hate in London.
"Any incidents flagged to police will be assessed and investigated thoroughly," they added.
