WORK by artists from all over London is jostling for poll position in a competition to win free gallery space in Bethnal Green.

More than 20 artists have submitted work for the Mind Soup exhibition in Bethnal Green Road's Gallery 320 and will be competing for the prize and the winner is due to be selected over the next couple of weeks.

Judges include gallery owner Sean Pines, interior designer Mark Bithrey and Advertiser reporter Victoria Huntley who made their first round of selections last week.

Work will be on show at Gallery 320, which is accessed via Voss Street, until the end of the month and the response has been so great that Sean has decided to make the show an annual event.

The winning artist will snaffle a month's free gallery space at 320 in August as well as a late opening evening so the winner can host their own private view.

The gallery is also working towards hosting a regular itinerary of talks and events, including film screenings, poetry evenings and Photoshop tutorials.
