Everyone's favourite fighting Frenchman, Asterix the Gaul, has travelled to ancient Greece and, naturally enough, decides to try his hand at a series of Olympic events.

Based on the upcoming film, the game does exactly what it says on the tin and lets one or two players take control of Asterix, Obelix or Dogmatix as you compete in a number of simple Olympic challenges. While these unlockable mini-games are undoubtedly

entertaining, the rest of the game is a standard platform adventure that rarely rises above mediocre. Younger players will lap it up, especially if they're fans of the comic strip, but with so many good platformers already out on the Wii and Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games riding high in the charts, it's difficult to see who will buy this.
