Nintendo has announced that classic racer Mario Kart will be skidding onto the Wii later this year, possibly in time for the summer. The new version of the game will feature 32 tracks - 16 new ones plus 16 'classics' - plus an online mode that'll support up to 12 players and a series of mid-air tricks that, when successfully completed, will result in a speed boost when you come back down to earth. For fans of the N64 and SNES versions of the game, there'll also be a fourplayer split screen mode and world leader boards for the ultracompetitive.
