CREATIVITY rather than cash will earn music fans a ticket to see a headlining show by syth-poppers the Pet Shop Boys and an exclusive on-stage collaboration between electro geeks Hot Chip and futuristic disco diva Little Boots.
Fans can get their hands on free tickets for Smirnoff's U R the Night gig at superclub Matter tomorrow (Friday) night by helping create the night itself and having their say through social networking site Facebook.
Fresh off the back of winning the Outstanding Contribution to Music award at the Brits earlier this year and releasing their new album Yes, Pet Shop Boys Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe will take to the stage at Matter for a club performance.
Having helped produce Little Boots' debut album, Hot Chip's Joe Goddard will be joining the electro popster, who came top of the BBC's "Sound of 2009" list.
Hot Chip will also be providing DJ support on the night, alongside electro-duo The Count and Sinden, and cosmic Jedi Tom Middleton.
Smirnoff are inviting people to have their say in how they want the night to evolve, by submitting their ideas via Facebook in exchange for a chance to get free tickets. Atendees have been voting on different elements to shape the night, including which drinks will be served, what the DJs will play and what the pre-event boat party theme will be, all via polls on the event's Facebook page.
U R the Night is on at Matter in the O2 complex from 9pm tomorrow (Friday) night until 4.30am Saturday morning.
