Proving that there's more to the Wii than an endless supply of cute party games, No More Heroes is a dark, stylish and creative affair that never misses an opportunity to mess with gaming conventions. You play Travis Touchdown, a sword-wielding assassin who wants to climb to the very top of his profession. To do this, he has to take on 10 of the best assassins in the country in a series of bloody encounters using his electric sword and a number of grappling moves. Swordplay is brisk and relentless with buttons being mashed for maximum advantage and special moves administered with a flick of the Wii remote. While the Grand Theft Auto-style free roaming sections aren't brilliant, the arcade combat is consistently entertaining.
