DITCHING the tried and tested MC/stand-up format, a new comedy night in Shoreditch will be ticking the funny bones of punters at the Queen of Hoxton this week.

ComComedy is launching a monthly variety night of live comedy featuring sketch groups, stand up comedians, improv and comedy musicians as well as screening some of its own comedy sketches.

There will be characters on the door and sitting among the audience, dressing up, and plenty of audience participation.

Held on the second Wednesday of every month, the live night will promote up-and coming comedy performers.

The first live night at the Queen of Hoxton in Curtain Road is free. Doors open at 7pm and comedy starts at 8pm.
