1966 World Cup champion Martin Peters returns to his roots on June 10 for a charity dinner in East London.
Peters was born in Plaistow and played for West Ham in the 1960s and 1970s. He scored the second goal in the 1966 World Cup, helping England win 4-2 against West Germany.
The dinner is Peters' second event with Anchor House, a homeless charity and rehabilitation program based in Canning Town.
While headlined by Peters, the event also has raffle prizes including two-backstage passes to any Formula-One event.
The goal of the dinner is to raise �9 million for the regeneration of Anchor House.
