THE homeless charity Crisis is appealing for entertainers to perform at this year’s emergency Christmas centres.

It is running themed’ nights and wants performers willing to volunteer and share their talent with an audience.

The charity in Whitechapel’s Commercial Street needs singer-songwriters, magicians, solo musicians, cabaret artists, comedy performers, circus artists, small bands, string quartets, choirs, ensembles, bingo callers, DJs and karaoke hosts.

It has been organising its Crisis Christmas’ schemes over the festive period for the past 37 years, opening centres across London that offer company, hot meals and warmth for the homeless as well as services and entertainment.

Volunteers sign up for a minimum two shifts, 12 noon to 10pm, from December 23 to 29.

Some 6,500 volunteers are attracted over the Christmas week. Entertainers can contact the charity on 020-7426 5656, or email Crisis Christmas
