The usual “bring a bottle” rule to get into a party is being adapted for the festive season to bring toys instead for children in hospital in east London.

Bring a new toy in its original box and that gets you into the shindig being put on to launch the appeal to give joy to youngsters spending Christmas at the Royal London and four other hospitals.

The party is to help Barts Charity launch its ‘Send a Smile with Santa’ appeal to give a present to every youngster in the wards.

It is being held on November 30 for the charity at the South Place Hotel in South Place, near Liverpool Street station, by Wonderful Communications marketing.

Free drinks, canapés, sweets and treats are being served between 6 and 9pm to anyone turning up with new toys for the appeal and the chance to ‘network’ and meet like-minded professionals from commerce and industry.
