East Londoners announce two more pre-season games to add to their clash with Dagenham & Redbridge on July 26

Leyton Orient have revealed two pre-season friendly fixtures will be played at Brisbane Road toward the end of July.

The O’s will welcome south London rivals Charlton Athletic to E10 on July 23 for a 3pm kick-off.

A week after that fixture Gillingham will come to east London on July 30 for another 3pm start.

Ticket prices for each game are priced at £10 for adults, £5 for under-18s and £3 for under-11s.

It is understood Andy Hessenthaler, currently still in caretaker charge at the club, has arranged the friendly fixtures.

He joined Orient last summer from Gillingham and has a lengthy affiliation with the Kent-based club.

The 50-year-old actually had a brief spell at Charlton as well during the start of his playing career.

Both Gillingham and Athletic are League One clubs after the former finished ninth last season while the latter were relegated from the Championship.

Orient played the Gills three times during the 2014/15 campaign and lost at Priestfield Stadium twice.

The first occasion was a 3-2 reverse in League One and the second a 1-0 defeat in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

At Brisbane Road the O’s come back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 on April 6 2015, but it failed to prevent relegation to League Two.

The east Londoners last played Charlton in the League Cup back in 2012 and drew 1-1 on August 14 before progressing 4-3 on penalties.

Dean Cox played the whole match in the tie while goalkeeper Charlie Grainger was an unused substitute.
