Fridays are about to get a whole lot tastier for street-food lovers in Poplar as a new market is set to make its debut appearance this month.

On Friday, August 29, ‘Bite’ street food collective will bring cuisine from all corners of the world to Chrisp Street and will continue to pop up on the last Friday of each month.

Attended by some of London’s best street food vendors, the market plays host to a range of quality independent street food stalls, live music and a pop-up bar.

Bite organiser, James Murdoch, said: “The east end is a hub for fantastic food and produce and the area is already revered for its pie and mash shops, food stalls and fruit and veg markets.

“We’re delighted to be bringing Bite to the area, providing a new and exciting addition to Chrisp Street.”

Between 11am and 3pm foodies can sample vendors like Cat Food and Sticky Beaks and Bamboo, where some small dishes are available for £1.50.

The Bite street food market was launched as a hotspot for food talent in east London and Poplar’s event will be the second to take place following the official launch on July 25.
