The Fenchurch Street-to-Southend rail network has finished top of the rail industry’s punctuality table for 2013-14 for the third year running, according to latest figures released this week.
The c2c operators managed to get almost 97 per cent of their trains arriving on time, nearly seven per cent above the national UK average.
They were also Britain’s most punctual operators in the last four weeks, with 97.6pc on time.
The company said it was “important stayed top of the table” after a difficult start to 2014 with the recent bad weather and flooding in the South East.
The figures published by Network Rail are the government’s official measure of punctuality in the rail industry.
