Flat-dwellers or those without a home of their own who love gardening—but don’t have their own patch of green—can join a new ‘urban garden’ project in the East End later this month.
Anyone living in Tower Hamlets without a green space is being invited to Providence Row homeless charity on April 20 to talk it over with staff.
The Whitechapel charity is constructing an urban garden, turning the courtyard at its Dellow Centre in Wentworth Street into a green oasis which it wants to share it with people living and working in the East End. The three-hour session on Saturday-week starts at 11am.
Crossrail’s contractor BBMV which is funding this project is also turning up to answer questions about the construction work.
