A beach volleyball tournament is to be held in the City of London next week in a bid to raise money for childen and young people with disabilities.

Charity Action for Kids is encouraging people to sign up and get involved to the tournament, which it hopes will raise more than 40,000.

The competition, to be held in Broadgate Circle, is open to up to 16 teams of between six and 12 members, with every team involved given a fundraising target of 2,500.

The charity’s founder, Sally Bishop, said: “Events such as this are absolutely crucial as they allow us to further help children with disabilities and learning difficulties as well as their families and carers.

“In tough economic times, it’s even more important that we remain in a position to support young people across London and the UK.”
