Muslims in Tower Hamlets marked the end of Ramadan on Sunday with Eid al-Fitr celebrations at the East London Mosque.

The borough is home to one of the UK’s largest Muslim communities, and the Mosque put on six prayer sessions between 7am and 12pm on Sunday in response to high demand.

Eid al-Fitr represents the end of Ramadan, the period during which Muslims fast during daylight hours, and sees Muslims across the world come together for celebrations and prayer.
