Residents of Poplar organised a neighbourhood street party in Cottage Street, where everyone chipped in to ensure a great day was had by all.
While children expended their seemingly limitless amounts of energy on a bouncy castle, a DJ provided the soundtrack, and parents and neighbours spent the afternoon mingling with one another.
Face-painting was also available, and the long queues showed just how popular it was for the children at the party.
Meanwhile, many of the boys entertained themselves with a game of football, preferring to steer clear of the bright pink bouncy castle.
