City and East’s London Assembly member wants residents help in responding to a consultation on bus service changes during the Olympics.
John Biggs wants people to tell him what they think of Transport for London’s proposals to alter the bus services in East London during the 2012 Games.
The changes will see an increase in the capacity of buses and their frequency, divert buses or curtail them earlier than their usual terminus.
Mr Biggs said: “TfL have asked me for my thoughts on the changes. As I do not ride every bus in East London I’m asking residents to help. There is some good news, with some services being expanded. But there is bad news, with others being cut, and in particular the people of Wapping, already affected by road closures and banned turns, will be further isolated by the changes.”
The Labour assembly member wants residents views on the changes and how it will affect their daily lives.
“If you think TfL have got it wrong and you have an alternative solution then do share it with me,” he said.
