Housing officer Sumit Kaul took his passion for heights a big step further by abseiling 469ft down Guy’s Hospital tower.
The ICT expert for Hackney Homes in East London was one of several volunteers who took part in the plunge to raise 250 so far for Guys & St Thomas Hospital Cancer Research.
“I was inspired by the work the hospital does to help patients,” he said. “The money we’ve raised will help to conduct independent trials the hospital wants to carry out as part of its studies into common cancers.”
Sumit aims to raise 850 and is appealing for donations online to: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/abseiland3peaks.
