While the finance firms of Canary Wharf are use to their own sort of operatics, they will get a taste of the real thing this summer when classic shows are beamed out on big screens.
Live performances of Madam Butterfly and Cinderella by the Royal Opera will be screened in Canada Square to give people unable to get to the Covent Garden venue a chance to see the greats in action.
Backstage footage and live audience interaction will be included in the screenings.
Across the UK, 21 spots will be treated to the shows by BP Summer Big Screen.
Madama Butterfly will be on Monday July 4 at 7.30pm and Cinderella on Wednesday July 13 at 7.30pm in Canada Square.
