An over-50s club in Poplar called on their artistic talents to celebrate Easter by creating a wide range of beautiful and colourful bonnets.
Members of the Burcham Street club revealed their creative flair before Katherine Todd, 82, who lives in the Balfron Tower in St Leonard’s Road, was singled out for having made the best design last Wednesday.
Her pink bonnet, complete with fluffy yellow chicks, was selected by Mat Sheldon, a special project officer with Poplar Housing and Regeneration Community Association who manage the club,
Katherine regularly attends the club which community group Neighbours in Poplar also help to run.
