A HERO cabbie who foiled a robbery in the East End has spoken of the dark secret that drives him to fight crime.
Mark Castle, 48, from Bethnal Green, has foiled a string of crimes over the years - the latest saw four youths convicted of robbery.
And Eastender Mark, a taxi driver, says when he sees someone in trouble he rushes to help them because of the murder of his beloved grandma in 1993.
Seventy-four year old Annie Castle, 74, and her brother, William Bryant, were found dead at her flat in Clare Street, Bethnal Green, and no-one has ever been caught for the crime.
Mark told the Advertiser: "It all comes from the murder of my nan all those years ago.
"I keep hoping one of these people I help to catch might have had something to do with it and she can have justice at last.
