SPITALFIELDS City Farm has been shortlisted for cash from the National Lottery for its work with heritage animal breeds.
The farm won a 50,000 lottery grant to bring more breeds of rare farm sheep and poultry to the city and teach townies more about animals.
Children from nearby schools had a chance to learn more about them and use a specially created activity booklet and coffee table book.
Now farm manager Helen Galland is urging people to vote for the farm to win 2,000 for animal feed in the National Lottery's prize as best heritage funded project of the year.
Fans of the farm in Buxton Street can vote by calling a hotline
0844 686 7161 or online at www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards by June 19.
