THERE is barely room to swing the proverbial cat on the Central line this afternoon as emergency engineering work continues at Shepherds Bush.
Overcrowded trains are facing delays in both directions and trains are terminating at Marble Arch as engineers work round the clock to fix the problem.
Going into the rush hour commuters are warned to brace themselves for the journey home and find an alternative route wherever possible.
They are also advised to carry water with them and a fan could come in useful too.
Further details of alternative routes can be found on www.tfl.gov.uk
