THE LABOUR party will confirm its shortlist of London mayoral contenders today.
The list includes former Bethnal Green and Bow MP Oona King whose campaign team is lead by Poplar and Limehouse MP Jim Fitzpatrick.
The Mile End faces a tough battle against two times mayor Ken Livingstone.
There are two other candidates on the list - former Enfield councillor charted engineer Seton During and artist Emmanuel Okoro.
The candidate for next year's election will be chosen by London Labour members and affiliated organisations including unions and the party will announce its candidate in September.
London's mayor Boris Johnson announced yesterday that he wanted to run again for the Conservatives in next year's contest.
