A TEENAGER was recovering in hospital today after the car she was travelling in crashed into a bollard.
Paramedics and firefighters were called to Bethnal Green Road at around 7pm last night following reports that the car had smashed into the bollard, near the junction of Vallance Road.
The 18-year-old passenger and the male driver had to be cut out of the mangled car and the teenager was taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel with spinal and shoulder injuries.
