ENTER our Cockney Sparrow Wildlife Photography Competition for East London Advertiser readers who take the best pictures of East End wildlife.

In our competition, run in association with Photography Monthly magazine, we are giving you a chance to win some great prizes as you to keep your eyes peeled for any animals you spot around the East End.

Despite being an urban jungle, Tower Hamlets' parks and gardens are full of garden birds, water fowl, small mammals, insects and even the fastest animal on earth, the peregrine falcon.

We have some fantastic prizes to give away to talented snappers who can put the East End's wildlife in the frame.

The winner of the adult category will receive a Vanguard professional-standard photographer's backpack worth more than 100.

The Vanguard Uprise 45 Bag is suitable to carry a digital SLR camera with an attached lens as well as two additional lenses, a flash gun and accessories as well as all you need for a day out in the open.

Our younger entrants will have the opportunity to win brilliant how-to book Creative DSLR Photography, which teaches you how to take the best pictures.

The winners of both categories will also receive a year's subscription to Photography Monthly magazine.

The competition will be judged by Geoff Waring, a photographic expert and keen twitcher, Grant Scott, the editor of Photography Monthly and Professional Photographer magazines, and East London Advertiser wildlife lovers Victoria Huntley and Tim Cole.

During their careers both our guest judges have art directed women's magazines such as Elle, Vogue, Tatler, Red and Easy Living.

Geoff Waring has always been a keen twitcher and is looking forward to not only judging the photographs but identifying the birds and animals caught on camera.

Grant Scott is Group Brand Editor of Imaging for Archant and the editor of both Photography Monthly and Professional Photographer magazines. He is still a working professional photographer.

To enter the Cockney Sparrow Wildlife Photography Competition, email your photographs to ela.editorial@archant.co.uk with your name, address, contact telephone number and a brief description of your photograph and where it was taken.

There are two categories and entrants should specify whether they are entering the adults' (16 and above) category or the children's (under 16s) category.
