AIRSPACE over East London has reopened after flying restrictions because of the Icelandic volcanic ash cloud were lifter last night.
London City Airport has reopened hand flights had resumed this morning (Wednesday) after the Civil Aviation Authority lifted the ban.
A statement from the airport said: "Departures and arrivals have commenced. Selected cancellations remain in place and we strongly advise passengers to check with their airline before starting their journey.
"London City Airport expects to phase in a return to normal operations over the next few days.
