SOCCER yob Richard Coffman has been jailed for 18 weeks and banned from football matches for six years for taking part in street clashes after a West Ham v Tottenham match.
His conviction follows an investigation into a large scale fight in London's East End involving 100 fans in Mile End on August 23 last summer.
He was sentenced to eight weeks for affray and a further 10 for breaching a suspended sentence.
Coffman, a 20-year-old from Romford, was sentenced at Stratford Magistrates' Court on March 5 after admitting affray at an earlier hearing.
The disorder involved West Ham and Tottenham supporters who had been drinking in separate pubs after the game.
Altogether 67 fans were arrested, all but 10 currently on bail awaiting trial or court appearances charged with violent disorder, threatening behaviour or causing affray. Two have received juvenile reprimands.
