TWO victims of an arson attack in the East End were remembered by family and friends on the first anniversary of their murder.

Nicola Vickers, who lost both her 17-year-old daughter Shannen Vickers and her mum Pauline Adams, 57, held a get-together for family, friends and neighbours organised with her twin Paula.

A hundred people turned out at The Old George on Bethnal Green Road last Saturday, ahead of Monday anniversary of the arson attack at their Malmesbury high- rise flat.

Three generations of the family lived at the flat in Cyprus Street but only Shannen and her gran where at home when two youths poured petrol through their letterbox in a revenge attack following a row over 15 with Pauline's grandson.

Since then Nicola has had four tattoos done on her arm and neck in memory of her daughter and mum.

The tattoos carry the date she lost her daughter and mum, and depict angel wings, the bible and a rosary. Twin Paula also has tattoos in memory of her mum and niece.

Two youths were jailed for 25 years each for the murders.
