A 16-YEAR-OLD student was crowned the new Young Mayor of Tower Hamlets last night.
Landry Adelard was elected by his peers ahead of 15 other candidates to knock his predecessor Uma Akther off the top spot.
The result was announced last night by Chief Executive of Tower Hamlets council Kevin Collins at an inauguration ceremony at the Town Hall.
The Oaklands School pupil will represent the borough's youth at key public events and will also sit on the UK Youth Parliament for 12 months.
