CAT lovers are being urged to take a nap for a good cause later this month, writes Selina Isley.
They are invited to a 'purrfect' lunchtime snooze, just as cats like to do, in Old Spitalfields Market in London's East End, in a bid to set a new world record for the number of people catnapping in the same place.
The 'Cat Nap for Cats' organised by Cats Protection charity and CEVA Animal Health starts at 1pm on Monday week, November 23, to kick off Cat Welfare Week (that doesn't mean kicking the cat!).
It is aimed at educating people about what the organisers call "behavioural issues" in our feline friends and learning what makes them tick (pardon the phrase).
Another project byCats Protection is a new homing centre it is building. The charity needs to put its paws on 1.75 million to finish the project.
