KIDS as young as 11-years-old are being warned about the dangers of cigarettes with the launch of a new website today.
Pupils at Stepney Green Computing and Science College joined NHS Tower Hamlets' tobacco control team to kick-start the new site which aims to discourage 11-15-year-olds from smoking.
The website which contains facts and quizzes about cigarettes will be used by the youth group ASSIST - A Stop Smoking in School Trial - which trains peer leaders in schools to stop fellow pupils from taking up the habit.
And the anti-drug and alcohol organisation Lifeline will also promote the new site at its smoking cessation counselling sessions in secondary schools.
