MEN and women on the dole in London's East End qualify today after completing a four-day training course to help them get work.
Some 25 tenants on deprived Tower Hamlets housing estates who have been out of work for long periods have received training in areas such as customer service, communications, law and conflict management.
They get their certificates at a ceremony this-morning after getting through the course run by One Housing Group social landlords on the Isle of Dogs.
The course is one of the schemes run by the housing group for its tenants which offer the unemployed a helping hand finding a job and getting training opportunities and apprenticeships. Help is also given with writing CVs, interview practise and careers advice.
