FIRE crews sealed off part of a road in Mile End after concerns about a possible gas leak.
Crews from Bethnal Green and Bow fire stations shut Burdett Road for three hours on Thursday night and called in experts from their rapid response team to take air samples to determine whether there was leaking gas from a propane cylinder.
Experts from British Gas were also called out and it was discovered that the concerns had been caused by stale air in the canister which is not hazardous.
