A CHARITY running unique therapy courses in East London for people with brain injury opened a market stall for a day to help raise funds.
The first street trading by Headway East London at Spitalfields Market raised 400 selling hand-made jewellery, plaques, mirrors and cards.
Volunteers manning the stall also raised awareness of the charity’s work in brain injury recovery when they met City workers in their lunch-break at the market close to Liverpool Street station.
Headway East London supports those with the long-term consequences of a brain injury with music therapy as well as workshops in handcrafts at its Bradbury House day centre just off Kingsland Road in Shoreditch.
