CIVIL engineers have given Barnardo’s children’s charity �5,000 towards running their construction training centre in London’s East End.
The cash was raised by staff at Bam Nutall for the charity’s centre in Stepney Green which trains 14 to 19-year-olds in vocational skills.
The training helps youngsters become qualified for skilled work in the construction industry in joinery, plumbing and decorating.
The centre aims to encourage more school-leavers into the construction and civil engineering industry, in the run-up to the 2012 Olympics being staged in East London.
