A VIOLENT teenager who attacked a woman at a railway station in East London late in the evening was caught out after police recognised his distinctive bushy haircut.
They spotted Simeon Blackwood-Odain (pictured, inset) minutes after he robbed the woman of 36 at London Fields station.
The 19-year-old was also pictured on a security camera several times going in and out of the station without his hood on, which made it easy for cops to finger him.
He was behind bars this week following the attack at 9.30pm on October 20.
The woman had been waiting alone on the station platform on the Liverpool Street-Enfield line when Blackwood-Odain laid into her, punching her repeatedly in the head and face before running off with her handbag, mobile phone and a 250 camera.
DEAD GIVEAWAY
Officers got a good description of his distinctive hair, which was circulated on police radios in the area, and he was stopped and searched just seven minutes later.
“His haircut was a dead giveaway,” robbery squad Det Con Mark Tabbron said after the case.
“It enabled officers to identify and stop him as he walked down the road just minutes after the attack.”
The detective added: “This was a violent and callous attack on a woman minding her own business waiting for a train home.”
Blackwood-Odain, from Hackney, admitted the attack when he appeared at Snaresbrook crown court and was jailed for more than four-and-a-half years.
