KIDS have come up with ideas about how their schools in East London should look in the future.
Pupils displayed their visions of what schools should be like at a presentation in Canary Wharf as part of a Government project to rebuild or refurbish every secondary school in the country.
Tower Hamlets alone is spending 300 million modernising the East End’s ageing school buildings.
It has been asking the youngsters themselves for their ideas on what to go for.
“We have to speak to them about what they think a 21st century school should look like,” said the council’s Children’s Services lead member Claire Hawkins.
“We want to know what facilities they need to get the most out of their education and to make sure we give the community the facilities they need.”
Pupils were presented with certificates by Radio 1 DJ Nihal at presentation at Canary Wharf’s Clifford Chance law firm.
