A campaign has been launched to celebrate careworkers in Stratford, Wapping and the Docklands.
#MakeADifference aims to raise the profile of caring at home as a profession. Having at-home care workers allows vulnerable people to receive the help they need, especially when they have complex conditions like dementia or Parkinson’s disease.
The campaign was launched on May 8 by Bluebird Care, whose centre in Stratford, Wapping and the Docklands has one carer who’s been working there for more than five years.
The centre’s manager, Pamela Tapfumaneyi, said: “This is a fantastic campaign which aims to highlight the vital work that home care assistants across the country are providing day in, day out.
“Via the #MakeADifference campaign, we want all individuals to learn more about how rewarding a career in home care can be, the huge difference you can make to the people that you support, and why so many of our Bluebird Care care assistants are proud to care at home.”
