Leyton Orient have completed the loan signing of Bournemouth striker Jayden Stockley on a one-month deal, and he can go straight into tomorrow night’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie at Gillingham.
The 19-year-old has been with the Cherries since the age of 16 and at the time signed a five-year deal but has found opportunities limited at Dean Court after the club were promoted to the Championship, though did enjoy a loan spell at Woking where he scored 10 goals in 20 appearance.
And O’s boss Russell Slade believes the striker will prove a worthwhile addition to the current League One table toppers.
“Jayden will give us some much needed depth and provide us with a different option going forwards. He’s a physical player and can hopefully make an impact on games,” said Slade.
Stockley will wear the number 22 shirt and could feature at Gillingham if Slade wishes to do so.
