Kind-hearted hairdressing students at New City College used their talents to raise money for a cancer charity.
The event to raise funds for the Little Princess Trust was held at the Urban Oasis salon in Ilford in December.
Redbridge’s deputy mayor Ashley Kissin attended the event to show his support.
The charity provides wigs made of real hair to sick children and young people.
The students had arranged for a group of models to donate their long locks to the cause and restyled their hair for them.
Jennette Lewis, level three hairdressing student, said: “I noticed how much high quality hair was cut every day and thought how this could make a difference to children’s lives if the hair could be used for wigs.
“We wanted to help the young people losing their hair due to treatment by donating hair and funds to the charity.”
