Around 70 pupils from the former Plaistow Grammar School got together at a special reunion in London.
The event at The Holiday inn in Bloomsbury marked the 91st anniversary of the school’s opening, and 45 years since the school in Prince Regent Lane, Plaistow, closed.
It was the sixth consecutive year that pupils have met up.
Saturday’s reunion was organised by former pupil Len Filtness, who is currently writing a book on the history of the school.
Memories - and plenty of drinks - flowed as the pupils enjoyed a three-course meal.
Together for the first time at a PGS reunion were members of a former school dance troupe who performed under the name ‘Pan’s Rejects’ in the 1970s, parodying the famous Top of The Pops dancers, Pan’s People.
Students enjoyed a lovely afternoon filled with great reflections of the past.
Len said: “It was great to see pupils from many different years.”
