Major Tower Hamlets roads are experiencing delays after they were flooded due to "heavy rain".

Lanes that were closed have since reopened after contractors have been sent out to clear the blockages.

AA Maps said the road was "partially blocked" due to flooding on the A12 Blackwall Tunnel Approach at Devas Street (Twelvetrees Crescent).

TfL Jam Cams said the Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach at the junction of Gillender Street was flooded in one lane southbound.

A spokesperson for Transport for London (TfL) explained that there was a "small amount" of water build up due to "heavy rain" today (Monday, April 10).

The spokesperson added that contractors have been out to clear and all lanes remain open.

Drivers are being advised to approach with caution.
