A 22-year-old man has died after a crash with a car in Brentford.

The incident happened on the A4 at the junction with Brook Lane North just after 3.50am today (August 5).

Officers were dealing with an unrelated matter when they came across a pedestrian involved in a crash.

London Ambulance Service crews and an air ambulance were then called to the scene. 

Despite the efforts of emergency services, the man was pronounced dead. 

His next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene.

No arrests have been made following the incident.

Road closures are in place and enquiries are led by Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “An investigation has been launched following a fatal collision in Hounslow.

“At 3.51am on Saturday, 5 August officers were dealing with an unrelated matter when they came across a pedestrian who had been involved in a collision with a car on the A4 Great West Road, at the junction with Brook Lane North, Brentford.

“London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance paramedics attended.

“Despite their efforts the man, believed to be aged 22, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Officers have informed his next of kin.

“The driver of the car stopped at the scene. There have been no arrests.

“Road closures are in place enquiries are led by Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

“Any witnesses or those with dash cam footage are asked to call police via 101 ref CAD 1090/5 Aug.
