A new Deliveroo Hop site has opened enabling shoppers in parts of East London to order rapid grocery deliveries.

The takeaway delivery firm is expanding its service with the new site in North Crescent, Canning Town, alongside a delivery deal with Morrisons supermarket.

People in West Ham, Canary Wharf and Stratford can have on-demand access to products from 8am to 11pm, 7 days a week - with delivery in as little as ten minutes.

Goods available include those at Morrisons supermarkets, including its 'The Best' range of wines.

A Morrisons spokesperson said: "We are really proud to be launching our 11th site with Deliveroo Hop.

"The recent expansion in Canning Town means we can deliver fresh groceries to our customers in West Ham, Canary Wharf and Stratford in a matter of minutes giving them more reasons to shop at Morrisons."

New data from Deliveroo reveals the top-selling Hop grocery items across London since the start of the year includes bananas, avocados, chicken breast fillets, free range eggs, and sweetclem easy peelers.

The online delivery company first launched Hop in 2021 to complement the company's existing on-demand grocery service, which already delivers from approaching 8,000 partner grocery stores in the UK&I - including Morrisons, Co-op, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Whole Foods in London.

The operator has also opened a site in Kentish Town, in the borough of Camden, where it has done a deal with Waitrose.

Carlo Mocci, chief business officer UK&I, Deliveroo said: “Hop has gone from strength to strength since launching in 2021.

"Its enduring popularity demonstrates the importance that our customers place on accessing fresh groceries, delivered straight to their doorstep.

"The success of the service has meant a further expansion across London and we are excited to build on our longstanding and successful partnership with Morrisons and Waitrose to expand our grocery offer to local residents.”
