Police have provided an update on the condition of a Canary Wharf stabbing victim. 

The incident took place in Upper Bank Street on October 19, where an 18-year-old was traced to a hospital with stab wounds to his face and arm.

His condition was reported last week as "life threatening"

A spokesperson for the Met Police has now said: "The victim’s condition is now life changing rather than life threatening."

Police were alerted to last week's stabbing by the London Ambulance Service.

In a statement from last week, a police spokesperson said: "Officers responded but those involved had left the scene prior to police arrival.

"An 18-year-old man was traced to an east London hospital with stab injuries to his face and arm."
