Police have provided an update on the condition of a Canary Wharf stabbing victim.
The incident took place in Upper Bank Street on October 19, where an 18-year-old was traced to a hospital with stab wounds to his face and arm.
His condition was reported last week as "life threatening".
A spokesperson for the Met Police has now said: "The victim’s condition is now life changing rather than life threatening."
Police were alerted to last week's stabbing by the London Ambulance Service.
In a statement from last week, a police spokesperson said: "Officers responded but those involved had left the scene prior to police arrival.
"An 18-year-old man was traced to an east London hospital with stab injuries to his face and arm."
There have been no arrests and anyone with information or footage who can help police in their enquiries should call 101 or post @MetCC ref CAD 6700/19 Oct.
