A teenage boy arrested in east London on suspicion of terrorism and indecent image offences has been bailed.

He was arrested by Met Police counter terrorism detectives at 7am on October 24.

His arrest was on suspicion of “collection of material of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism”, police said.

The 17-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possession of indecent photographs of a child, as well as possession of extreme pornographic images.

He was taken into custody at a central London police station before being released on bail to return to the police station in mid-November.
