A 12-year-old e-scooter passenger has been left fighting for her life after a crash involving a car. 

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were called to the scene of a crash between a car and an e-scooter in East Ferry Road at 9.03pm yesterday (February 18). 

They found a 12-year-old girl and a man in his 20s injured. The pair were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. 

The girl was not driving the e-scooter, police have confirmed, but is in life-threatening condition after the incident. 

The man in his 20s is not believed to be in a life-threatening condition.

A police cordon was reportedly erected after the incident.

One Facebook user wrote: "East Ferry Road closed by police. Crime scene. Opposite Crossharbour dlr."

It is believed the road was re-opened to motorists at around 5.15am this morning. 

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to the scene by the ambulance service. 

The girl's next of kin have been informed and enquiries are ongoing. 

No arrests have been made and police have confirmed the driver of the car was not injured.
