Man falls to death from Gough Walk, Poplar balcony

Police are investigating the death of a man who fell from a balcony in Poplar. 

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called with reports of the fall in Gough Walk at 7.25pm on April 13. 

They were supported by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, including an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and multiple fast response vehicles. 

The first paramedic was reported to have arrived in less than three minutes of the call coming in.

A temporary police cordon was put in place at the housing estate whilst the incident was dealt with. 

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have confirmed they are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
